Our pony has laminitis. He is paddocked 24/7 with no option to stable. He is bare foot and looking at keeping him that way, I usually trim all the horses myself due to the difficulty in getting people to travel to the property.
It has taken me 10 weeks to get a farrier to look at him (a saga in itself), during which time I haven't touched his feet as I didn't feel knowledgeable enough .
