In a quandary here.
Pony is prone to hoof soreness, when I walk him out he often climbs onto the grass side walk away from the road. Better now than he was, and I put that to cutting down his sugar intake. At the moment he's on a fairly limited pasture and gets added hay. Also considering shoeing him but he really isn't in any sort of proper work.
Ideally I'd move him away from hay and on to grazing/hard feed only. But is this practical or is the sugar in the grass always going to knock...
